TEC announcement: Still no funding
Last night TEC announced that while they recognised the value of ACE Networks – “Existing ACE Networks will not receive grant funding in its current form for 2010 and beyond.”
When I spoke to Terry Neal from ACE Aotearoa last month she said that TEC are looking to contract another organisation to oversee ACE Networks. ACE Aotearoa would like to do this. Judi Rendall would be employed at ACE Network Co-ordinator.
We have received no funding this year and as it still doesn’t seem likely we have responded by reducing Network activities. We will continue to meet, and I will continue basic administrative functions only.

The role of these ACE/TEC Networks is to develop processes and facilitate relationships in order to promote collaboration, co-operation, and support members to ensure that ACE is responsive to the identified needs of the community. ACE/TEC Networks are regionally driven and their role continues to evolve as networks develop and collaborate to reflect their particular communities.
